This book may be a reminder of why it is hard to love murder/mystery books. Sometimes there aren't enough turns and twists to keep me engaged and Not a Happy Family seemed to be lacking. I just felt the characters were dry, obvious, and everything un-raveled to quickly. This is a who-dun-it story, that may not leave you guessing till the end.
