it was ok
bookshelves: z-2021-read, 5-romances

I liked this book more than I liked almost al the romances I read this last few months mainly because it was a romance that developed organically and slowly - characters weren’t falling in love out of the blue or had been secretly in love for years (which is so so annoying).
The characters came alive and their stories made sense. The one thing that was icky was the fact that he was very rude (I don’t think he needed to be friends with his assistant, contrary to what Vanessa spends the first few chapters trying to make you believe was his duty) for two years and then completely changed. Didn’t sound believable.
