liked it

While I enjoyed the relationship between the sisters, I didn't care for the romances.
Colonel Brandon is <3 but probably not the best match for (view spoiler)

Trying to read all of her books... So far:
Pride and Prejudice
Emma
Lady Susan
*Sense and Sensibility
Persuasion
Northanger Abbey

Mary Peebles I've not read this one yet, but I have seen the movie and it's great.

message 4: by Kendra (new)

Kendra I loved Northanger Abbey but no one else seems to!

Timber Kendra, I LOVE Northanger Abbey!!

message 6: by L. H. (new) - added it

L. H. I think I liked Emma the best

I.M.BookMeIn If you can stand that much gossip then maybe..

Sonja My ranking is same as yours (I haven't read Lady Susan yet) but Sense and Sensibility and Mansfield Park were both tied at last place for me. Sorry鈽 And Kendra and Timber, I also think Northanger Abbey is underrated.

Joannie @Kendra Buchanan
I'm so happy to tell you that I feel exactly the same! 馃槏馃

滨苍锚蝉 Ramires Pride and Prejudice is also my favourite, but my order of the rest of them is different. The only one i didn't read was Lady Susan (and have).

Milagros Tbh i liked pride & prejudice more than sense & sensibility but good luck!

Ultra_Sophie I love Jane Austen

celia My thoughts exactly

nazarely I do like Edward and Elinor in the book but I was soooo shipping Coronel Brandon and Elinor (even tho I already knew the ending HAHAHA), I felt a little bit sad that Marianne didn't get the kind of love she always wanted (passionate one), but glad she got to be happy (didn't liked everyone treating Marianne like some trophy Coronel Brandon deserved thanks to his kindness)

HansBlog 鈥濩olonel Brandon is <3 but probably not the best match for Marianne. I was kinda shipping him with Elinor tbh.鈥
鈥
I was even shipping him with Elinor鈥榮 mom.

Rachel I agree with you. I thought I was the only one who ship Colonel Brandon with Elinor. I think Edward and her doesn't have chemistry as you said and, yes, definitely Colonel Brandon deserved better than Marianne. They didn't have chemistry as well. But Brandon and Elinor? Hell yes.

Kris Norvig Hmmm.. why is part of your review grayed out?

Grace NO SAME I shipped Colonel Brandon and Elinor the whole time and was honestly shocked she would take Edward back bc ok, yes, he loved her and was honorable, etc., but to me it felt like that ship had already sailed (pun intended). I was hoping Marianne would meet some other passionate gentlemen along the way, but oh well. At least they're happy?

Tareq Yassine Brandon seemed better suited for Elinor. This book didn't come across as romance IMO. I loved the characters analysis that you gain when you read Jane's work, whether this one or Pride and Prejudice

Aida I just finished reading it, and I'm soooo disappointed that Elinor and Colonel Brandon didn't end up together, they had so much chemistry
