Morrison. Quitely. The best and the best. Enough said.
If I retract one star, it's only out of sheer, deluxe-edition walletschmertz: $25 for what is really just 3 comic books bound together.* When I was a young'un, we called that a Marvel 3-Pack. We paid 50 cents just to peel back the wrapper & find out what the middle comic was!** Now they charge fifty times that? Kids today, they just don't know. I searched high and low for the merely-expensive trade paperback compilation of We3 but it was yanked off the shelves & out of my grasp by the publisher -- my local comic shop literally ordered it and then had their order cancelled. I assume this new hyperspendy ultra-deluxe superback edition is timed & priced either to coincide with Morrison's recent knighthood -- in which case I'm fucked because I'm now on a mission to read All Of Him -- or is somehow a computer-generated high-frequency pricing algorithm's response to my recent Amazon search for "weaponized rabbit novels."
That said, I hereby wholeheartedly endorse this weaponized rabbit novel! I just wish I could get as excited about a prose author as I am about Grant Morrison.
* Not counting all the tedious "behind the scenes" stuff that shamelessly puffs out the page-count.
**Almost always "Dazzler," "ROM Spaceknight" or "Power Man & Iron Fist."
