I struggled between a 2 and 3 star rating. It was a shorter story so it was able to hold interest the whole time. However, there wasn’t much of a “mystery�� surrounding the death. Unless you count the mystery of how none of the characters have ever come across a neurodivergent person before. The more I process the book after finishing, the more I see how problematic the characters were. Stereotypes were heavily leaned on.
