4.5 Stars for Open (audiobook) by Andre Agassi read by Erik Davies.

This was a really deep dive into the world of professional tennis. I think the author’s life is fascinating. It was interesting to hear about all the mental and physical struggles he went through. I had no idea how much he hated tennis. My only complaint about this audiobook is that someone else narrated it. The voice and the emotion just seemed off to me.

Jeannamarie Absolutely agree with you! I really loved this story, but the narration really sounded so mechanical (I've listened to other books by this narrator, and they were much better) Andre's story is compelling, I think the most interesting thing is his detailed description of each match and character. The other big disappointment is his mother's inability to do more in protecting her children from such a difficult and harsh father, Also I would love to have heard more about his later relationship with his siblings.
