Prepare for sleepless nights when reading this one! Tough to put down! For this to be a paranormal novel about the "undead" it certainly came to life as I read it. Vlad is the kind of character a lot of writers strive to create, but many miss the mark. Not Frost though she NAILS it. (pun intended). He manages to be smart, violent, protective, punishing, cunning, unpredictable and sexy. All while keeping his wry sense of humor which is my favorite trait.
Leila pushes the envelope both physically and emotionally for herself. Her powers still damaging her body and not excepting Vlad's "conditional" relationship issues. I for 1 was proud of her.
I will be marking my calender for the release of the 3rd book in this trilogy. Hats off to Jeaniene Frost on this one!! Another wonderful read!
