I picked this book up expecting it to be a coming-of-age book about a Black woman in med school. I got way more romance novel than I thought I would get. But it wasn’t a bad read at all. This book gave me some insight about fighting against stereotypes in American society and more specifically the medical world and I liked that a lot. 3.5 stars.
