How lovely is Kahlil Gibran's writing. How it begs to be read aloud. I was just looking through it to see if there was anything in it that I could read to anyone at the 75th anniversary of my grandmother's colony. And lo and behold, I found what I wanted: 'On Houses'. I asked my teachers to read out the piece 'On Teaching' at the farewell assembly for two of my teachers. 'The Prophet' is not only a source of inspiration, but a lovely thing for every occasion!

"I liked the prologue. It is a little unrealistic (such friendliness over a mistake? Either of them could’ve been lying about their ages!!) but very sweet."
