Affliction has 1 of my favorite covers this year. Of course what makes it a great book has nothing to do with said cover , but it is lovely. The story is fantastic start to finish packed with action, adventure, vampires, shifters, zombies, and Edward. It changes the dynamic of the novel anytime Edward is in the mix. Always excited to see him show up.
In Affliction, a deadly flesh rotting disease has infected Micah's estranged father. Anita, Micah, Nathaniel, and a crew of bodyguards fly out so Micah can say his goodbyes, but it is quickly obvious that this disease has preternatural roots.
Anita gets involved with the case and quickly realizes that whatever monster is behind this is breaking all the rules as she knows them.
Loved this book! The writing is phenomenal! Can't wait for the next 1--as always!
