** spoiler alert ** Let’s get on this review, I have a lot to rant about.

1) I genuinely enjoyed some reveling stuff and it was interesting, but I was rewarded with many other questions. It’s like she gave us answers but those came with more interrogatives. Not gonna lie, felt like I was reading TCOGB all over again with some changes, of course. I do believe that repeating the plot-twist in each book is getting old.

2) I’m not even talk about the joining, because that’s not what bothered me the most. The poppykieran dynamic made me a little uncomfortable to say the least. I’ve read the whole 3 books before this one, and even though she made a lot of foreshadowing between these two, in this book it troubled me. On top of that, the fact that Casteel was being tortured and chained while they were “bonding, doesn’t sit well for me either. If the author wanted a threesome, by all means, go for it! It’s her book at the end of the day and I respect that, but the “feelings involved? It ached. Poppy and Cas have been developing their relationship for those three books, and adding this at the fourth one? Not so sure about how good is that as for me. And let me make something clear, I have no issues with polyamorous relationships, in fact, a love a good book that has a throuple or a reverse harem. The problem here is that it wasn’t stated from the begging, or it wasn’t the initial trope. So for you to add a third party to the mix after developing the main couple as monogamous, well.

3) I felt like Poppy’s personality wasn’t being developed and everything is just being dragged. I wanted her to explore and understand more of the powers she already discovered, and that wasn’t the case. That’s why I say it’s a kind of like TCOGB.

4) Casteel was more like a secondary character than one of the main ones. Every time I read his point of view, it was as if he only lived to worship Poppy. And I mean, I love that he loves her in such a truthful and consumering way, but I don't want it to be like... his only personality trait?

5) Kieran shouldn't be the shadow of poppycas. His character and his place in the book was enough for more. He should’ve been much more than the joining. Now about his behavior, I must say I did felt rattled at the part where he showed Poppy that memory on the beach. The fact that he slept naked right beside her (Poppy wearing his shirt) mhm I don’t know, it didn’t felt right. And many other things.

I’m giving it 3 stars because I enjoyed some things. I did smiled a lot reading about the characters I had missed and will forever hold a place in my heart, not everything is bad as is being said. The ending didn't surprised me as I would’ve liked, but I didn't enjoyed it less!💘
