it was ok
bookshelves: own

** spoiler alert ** I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. SPOILERS BELOW!!

If 2 stars means "it was ok", 2 stars it is.

I liked the creepy, thriller vibes in the beginning, and the overall feel of being trapped in this spooky house on Halloween, but then it got repetitive. It did keep be wondering "who dun it", and even though I knew that once an hour someone would die, I didnt know who, and I thought surely the ending would be worth it.

Uh, no. No, it was not. To have a ghost be the main character/narrator like this was just silly. Then Nana has her 15 year old great grandchild help her kill her family? then kills herself, and leaves Trixie alone? It did not feel plausible at all.

I don't know. I didn't hate all of it, just the last 30 pages or so.

Kim The part that got me is how she killed her mother without any problem.
