Book of a Thousand Days was very exciting. The plot was fresh and original. The characters had good personalities and were well developed, and so was the culture of the setting. The only thing that kind of annoyed me was the diary style, because I felt that sometimes the main character didn't have interesting things to say. But other than that, the story flowed very well.
