I saw this on the shelfs the day it was released and I was really surprised since I didn't know Brave was getting any type of sequel (much less that Maggie Stiefvater was writing it)!! Merida has been my favorite Disney princess since I was a child, so I was honestly super nervous when I read the summary, haha. I do hope she isn't given a love interest, since to me Merida's story has always been about adventure and self discovery rather than romance. While I know the movie had things it could have done better, it still holds a special place in my heart as one of the first Disney movies that really caught my heart. Merida's free spirit and fierce independence was so fun for me to see as a child, even though I'm not much like her (I'm hardly brave at all, haha). It would be lovely if her story doesn't include love interests (many Disney princesses already have some great love interests, but Merida is very arrow/ace (hehe) coded, so it'd mean a lot if she got to stay without one).
