2022 Skip Beat! Re-read
Oh no! You had a big bad abusive past?! Sure would be a shame if you were to... perpetuate the cycle?! Kyoko Mogami is too soft and I hate the warped narrative of "love conquers all" when it handles abusive parents this way. Forgiveness is fine and good and can help victims but Nakamura is trying way too hard to sweep the abuse Kyoko endured under the rug. And I especially hate the mentality of "well it's okay cause I'm who I am today" like noooooo that is nto okay!
