What an amazing read! And such a great story with alot of historical view points detailing the struggles of the Black's throughout the time frame of the book.
The three main characters (Aibileen, Minny and Skeeter) were well thought out, relatable, believable and you could feel their pain and passion all through the book. It's hard for me to pick who the "star" of these 3 were since they all played an integral part of each other's lives. I could not even imagine what it must have been like for the maids to put their trust and faith in Skeeter to tell their respective stories in a truthful manner.
Of course, the secondary characters; Skeeters parents, the Leefoolt's and their children were a wonderful addition to the book as well, especially Mae Mobley! Minny and her interactions with Miss Celia was interesting as well.
Ms. Hilly certainly seemed vindictive with those she thought were against her regardless of skin colour or social status.
I know there are parts I left out of this review (I really should start making notes on Post-It's so I don't forget things). This is a re-read for sure.
Recommend for everyone.
