The Graveyard Book

This book seems to be written in a similar vein as that of Roald Dahl's "Witches" or "James and the Giant Peach." While it is a children's story I found it compelling. The story flowed really well, and the illustrations were really interesting. (I especially liked the conceit of having illustrations trail from one page to the next.)
Although I found the description on the dust-jacket a bit deceptive in terms of the actual plot-line, I still enjoyed the read. As with Gaiman's other novels, he takes a fresh view on concepts on what could be-played out mythology and makes corny concepts cool again.
Suffice it to say, I enjoyed this book.
