it was ok

I really don’t know how to feel about this book. In some ways, I feel like it ruined the first book for me. Some things are better left untouched and unsaid.

That being said, the writing was beautiful and I always love reading the gorgeous descriptions of the outback.

Michaela I felt the same way. I didn't get the closure I needed

Ae Same here!!! Her writing was great but it nearly destroyed stolen for me I’m just going to pretend it doesn’t exist

~Madison i'm gonna pretend it doesn't exist. It's a good book on it's own when it's not a sequel to stolen

G G N Same. Completely ruined stolen for me.

Kimberly Lopez I feel the same way, this is not the same Ty from stolen, why did she have to make him such an asshole towards Gemma

message 6: by Gem (new)

Gem Ahh I am so glad other people feel the same way I did! I feel almost worse with this ending. I feel like we didn’t get any real insight into Ty and what he felt in both Stolen and Release. I wish we’d had more dialogue from Ty. Maybe it’s supposed to be kind of unknown, like he’s the wounded animal? Idk no closure 🙃

G I think that’s the whole point y’all 😭. It was blisteringly, coldly, slap-in-the-face realistic. That’s likely what the Real Ty would have been like. That’s what’s so smart about it. Lucy did the same thing she did so well the first time round: she made us desperately want what Gem wanted. In this case, we wanted the fantastical, warm version of him. And just like Gem, we didn’t really get that.

It’s genius, albeit heartbreaking
