Sloooooooow burn but so worth it!
Rarely is there a book where I love both the hero and heroine. Vanessa and Aiden are pretty much perfect! Both character's grow so much during this story. Aiden learns that how to think of others and nurture relationships. Vanessa learns that it is ok to lean on someone else for support. Both Aiden and Vanessa have trauma in their past, which they learn later on.
Part of the reason why I love this story is that the reader gets to see the evolution of this relationship. From ex-employee/boss to love-of-their-life. I love seeing this progression. All told from Vanessa's POV, as the reader, you get excited for every hug/hand hold/kiss that is earned along this journey.
This book is a comfort read for me and one that I will re-read very soon!
