I read this book in the ninth grade. It was so hard for me to get through. I remember reading a page and not understanding what it said. I guess I've probably read it a couple of times since, and it gets more meaningful everytime. This is for people who don't need a happy ending. The movie with Laurence Olivier & Merle Oberson is a classic and goes nicely with the book.
