Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper

This book was merely "eh." While the filthy and graphic details of the stripper/sex worker life is an undeniable guilty pleasure, the writing was only tolerable. There is no doubt the Diablo Cody is a brilliant woman and a gifted writer, but many times her dry sarcasm fell flat with me. She used way too many pop culture references (and by pop culture I mean late eighties/early nineties dirty rock culture), and often times it seemed like she was just trying way too hard to be edgy and hip. That being said... it is a quick read, and probably worth reading. I got a few chuckles out of it as well as a few gag reflex moments.
