I really like that Elantris is a standalone fantasy novel. The story was captivating, with the perspective of three different characters and amazing character development, which feels like a hallmark of Sanderson right now.

Some people claim it is one of the worst of Sanderson books because his writing felt immature, but I actually found this book well written and the plot was satisfying. If that is his worst, I can wait to read the rest!

I tried to listen to the Dramatized adaptation audiobook (I was the only one available unfortunately) and couldn't understand anything to be honest. Maybe because English is my second language and the music was too loud, but I was really struggling to understand what was going on, and I was absolutely not a fan of the theatrics and special effects included. However, a lot of people actually really liked it, so if you think you can enjoy such an experience, try but use a sample before buying because it did not work for me at all.
