⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ .5 // I have so many mixed feelings about this book. i didn’t really like it when i started the book, but by the end it was soo much better.

this was very toxic. this follows lily, a sex additc, and lo, an alcoholic, who r fake dating to hide their addictions from the world. like OFC it was gonna be toxic, but knowing that doesn’t mean it wasn’t hard for me to read. i found it hard to relate to the characters, so their actions kept frustrating me, but as the story develops i started to understand them a little bit more and ended up loving them.

this book really made me rethink my morals lol. I kept wondering throughout the story, how can they let their loved loose themselves for an addiction? but i realized, firstly that is very easy to judge and say what u would do in a situation like this, but it is impossible to know until it happens to you. second, they were both addicts, who understood what the addiction meant for each other, and didn’t feel like they could “judge�� the other one. i appreciate that the book dealt with this topic because it's not something you see regularly in romance novels. the author didn’t romantize the situation, they wrote it very realistically.

at first i didn’t like lily or lo, but knowing they deal with an addiction made me loved them more, because they felt like actual authentic flawed people. i do think that their only personality trait was their addiction, but i still got very attached to them, and i cant wait to read the next books. about the romance. i know it wasnt the main thing, and even tho lily and lo we’re unhealthy dependent of each other, i can tell how fucking much they love each other its so painfully beautiful. i really really can’t wait to read more abt their love story. about the other characters. i didn’t like rose�� she gave me spoil barbie vibes ups, but the way she helped lily at the end made me like her better. connor and ryke!!! connor was so unintentionally funny. and ryke?? fuck i loved that man. lily and lo own him sooo much.

im so exited (and scared, cause i know this series is gonna crush my heart) to read the next books :)
