** spoiler alert ** A banger.

Betrayal and Trust Issues are a big topic again. But it makes the alliances just so much more interesting. Fairies can't lie, but deceive. Jude can lie. And she does.
Jude is just as cruel as Cardan. Maybe a bit more reckless and brutal even. And I see how people don't sympathise with that. But damn. I love her. She has every reason so be like that. I don't know how many times she has been betrayed but her deep fear of being mocked (for just the fun of it) feels very reasonable. And she is so hungry for power. I mean. She would be hell in real life. But I love love love love low-key evil powerful women and their simpy "boyfriends" 💓 (let's not dive deeper into that)

Loved it. Loved how Cardan and Jude still betray and try to kill each other. The seconds of fear and doubt in one of their eyes right before an assassination attempt because they kinda fear that the other one truly would do it. Delicious.
Some might call that a toxic relationship but to be precise, they are not in a relationship. It might be a forced alliance with some attractions but still higher motives for them to act. (even tho my boy Cardan is down deep. He's a simp)

But please. This is not morally Grey. There is no grey. Just black out cruel. Be aware of that.

- ironic how "pretty" and "fairytale in a child's book" it is when all the fairies are fckn brutal and even the mermaids are trying to kill you
- the little details and foreshadowing, even outside the story. Makes sense at the end
