This was such a wonderful surprise of a novel. I went into this one with no expectations and found myself gripped in by the dark and gritty narrative. The prose fits the story well, but the real star of the novel was the characters. The characters were messy and complex, making them feel like real people. This is the kind of character driven vampire stories that I really love. This author has some serious favourite potential.
I should note that this novel has some really uncomfortable subject matter which didn't feel entirely necessary in the scope of the novel. I'm not sure if those parts were necessary.
I would recommend this one to readers looking for a dark and gritty character drive story and are not bother by weird subject matter.
