Not going to rate this one due to conflicting feelings. I spent the entire book disliking Roy for his hypocrisy, selfishness, and his paternalistic views on gender roles. I don't think that the marriage in question would have lasted long, Roy's incarceration aside.
The characters did feel like real people though, flaws and all.
