I don't think I'm the target audience for this book because I did not enjoy it at all. Did it make me feel something, yes. Did it make me think, yes. I brought this book because I asked for a popular YA novel at my local bookshop and they recommended this book, this is NOT YA novel. I then thought it was a romance novel, this is NOT a romance novel. If American women think and speak like the main character no wonder America is in a mess. Would I read anything else by this author, no.

I don't understand why so many people gave this book 5 stars. Perhaps because it moved or affected them in a way no other book had. To me it was predictable, you knew what was going to happen, but it took many hundreds of pages to get there. Am I glad the author wrote it, yes, but it wasn't for me, others obviously like it, I did not..
