** spoiler alert **
This book is hooking. It’s gripping, it doesn’t want you to look away, and I could absolutely not stop reading this book.
It was so unique to read a book where it was like an interview script, where multiple characters would speak during a chapter. They could be pages long, or sometimes even a few words.
The characters were all flawed, which made me love it even more. We all hate a main character who always does the right thing and looks beautiful. This book is just that.
Daisy was amazing, a spoiled rich brat who was stunningly pretty and doesn’t 'deserve' any of her talent. Billy was quite annoying, but he really gave the plot something to do . Camilla (LOVE) was that character who you loved, cause she was always right and gave wonderful advice. Karen Karen was funny, nerdy and a quirky pianist, and so easy to relate so, she was definitely one of my favourite characters. Not going to lie, Pete, Graham and Warren were kinda hard to tell apart, which did bring some confusion while reading. This book was never boring, always taking new twists and turns and in the end, you really just have to know how it ends. The 70’s theme with music, sex, drugs was so raw and fierce, and fitted with the characters so well. Not as good as The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, but still 4.9/5
