Wow! Very powerful book! I couldn't put the book down! The author did a wonderful job of researching and turning real life events into this story. The story was one of bravery, horror, and heartbreak. It is unfathomable that these experiments were performed and even worse that so many Nazis were allowed to escape justice after the war because of the knowledge other countries, including the United States, wanted to obtain from them. It's sick.

In the aftermath of World War II, a young woman discovers that the father she adored was responsible for horrific things that had happened in the concentration camp near their home. She learned that all the things she had been taught at school and in her girls' club were wrong. She began to learn the truth of what the Nazis in her country had been doing.

This book will really make you think about the role governments play in our lives, how leaders can horribly change the philosophies of the people, how misled people can be, and how justice is not always exacted on those that are guilty of the worst offenses.
