The premise was more interesting than the execution.
I do think the characters are likeable and the ending was good but I would have struggled to finish it if I hadn't been told book 2 was going to be much better. We'll see if it's true!

I love this series. The characters are adorable. Book 2 was very good. Hope you like it.

This is exactly what happened to me. Not even halfway and I was pretty much done with the story, characters, writing, etc. I just skipped a whole lot to see what happens at the end and even that was underwhelming.
I hope you enjoy the second book more than I did - I found it a bit trite. The third was an improvement, for me, pretty much on a par with this first one.
I was gonna say “how dare you� and then realized I rated the first book 3 stars too haha I liked books 2 and 3 better!
Sadly I had to DNF @ 40%, it just didn’t follow through on the premise
