as always, i don’t know the proper way to review poetry. but i do know that sappho’s poetry evokes a feeling of melancholy and longing that lingers in my chest.


Tonight I've watched

the moon and then
the Pleiades
go down

The night is now
half gone; youth
goes; I am

in bed alone
