Oh. My. Gosh.
It physically pains me to not give this book a perfect five.
But I seriously cannot get over the fact that Shazi is SIXTEEN YEARS OLD. The romance, the writing, the plot, the characters, everything would be perfect if only she wasn't underage and unfit to be the main character of such an intense romance.
I can't even get immersed because every mention of a kiss, embrace, or, yes there are very very brief scenes, is done with the subject being a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL.
The worst part of this is that literally nothing of importance in this entire book would have changed if she were 21 or something. That means there was no logical reason to make her so young. Nothing would have changed if Khalid was 23. Nothing.
Ugh but this book is so good. I'm just trying to erase the fact from my brain PERMANENTLY.
