So this started out slow, comparatively, which made sense after we came down from the big story arc in the last volume. Hiyori makes a game changing move for Yato about 1/2 way through and right when this is as "feel-good" a story as it's ever been there is a huge moment at the end. It sets up what I think will be the most interesting and compelling storyline that they've tackled yet. I didn't see it coming and it was pretty well timed. Nice job salvaging what felt pretty sedate and really pulling me back in.
