That’s the MC who is the golden, caged pet of King Midas the king who can turn things he touches into gold. She’s unbearably obsessed with this horrific abuser of a man .Once she leaves his castle and hits the road she actually has a personality and you can see that she’s just trauma bonded to him. For that reason I might actually read the second part. I also suspect that the rubbish Midas has no power, all of it is hers. I will be reading to see him get what’s coming to him. Did this book really need to contain the amount of sexual violence it did? I blame GRRM for this. It is so tiring.
