After being struck in the head, our main character Thomas wakes up in a dark forest and after being chased by giant black bats, he is rescued and taken to one of the coloured forests where he learns of the great histories. “The Great Deception�� they called it, is when a virus was created and wiped out most of the world. Thomas wakes up and what he believes to have been a strange dream, starts pointing to truth when the histories start playing out. Desperate to save the world, Thomas and his sister Kara try all means possible to get world leaders to believe in Thomas�� dreams. But are they dreams? Or is the modern world Thomas of Hunter’s dream.

I loved this book. It was such an interesting concept and I found myself confused about which was the real world. They were both so insistent in their reality that I found myself deciding they were both real. But if the future has already happened, can Thomas really change the past?

I especially loved the Christian themes the author was able to portray with the Great Romance and Elyon.
