Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6)

Each installment of the Kate Daniels series is better than the last. I had high expectations for this book and the authors exceeded them.
In Magic Rises Kate and Curran are offered a deal. Kate acts as a bodyguard for a pregnant mother and Curran a mediator/arbitrator for a handful of European packs in dispute over the unborn children and the land one of the twins will inherit. They know going in it's a trap of some sort , but cannot turn down the medicine offered to them as payment. This medicine reduces the chances of shifter children turning loup at puberty. Turning loup means they will have to be killed and so the pack is desperate for any of this medicine that will save lives.
This story is well written and has some amazing action sequences. I couldn't put it down and recommend this entire series to anyone who likes urban fantasy or paranormal fiction.
