The Book Thief

Well, well... It's always hard for me to write reviews for 3 star books. Because I didn't hate them, or I didn't love them. 3 stars are for the books I'm neutral about. This book is a 3 star book.
The first 200 pages were interesting. When I realized the narrator was the death, I was like, "Wow, now I'm interested." However, it wasn't really different from other books. So it was a little bit disappointing for me.
I loved the way Liesel was written. She gives Anne of Green Gables or Pollyanna vibes.
I also feel guilty for not loving this book so much. Maybe my timing for reading wasn't right. I'll reread it in a few years, and then we'll see if my thoughts changed.
