it was amazing

** spoiler alert ** This is a book that I can't get out of my head. On the simple level of what it was about, that doesn't make sense. It's a sci-fi tale about clones and how they live with their roles.
But there were two ways this story touched me. One is that it's about 3 people who you follow from childhood who accept what they are taught, accept how they are treated and don't question. Or if they do question, they are muffled and 'think better of it'.
The second reason is more personal. I am a person who has had a lot of medical 'stuff' done to her. A lot of whittling away. And I fully expect there will be more in my future. These characters also are whittled away. They accept it because it is their role. I have to accept it, because as a patient, that is my role. No one questions it in the book, but it made me begin to question it.
