This storyline felt like the cousin of a 90's high school themed movie, full of cliques and cliches. The plot was somewhat intriguing (although I figured out the connection at the end really early on). However, I had to continually remind myself that the level of maturity displayed by Ryen and her friends was mostly due to her age. I guess it was hard to remember because of the extremely detailed sex scenes. Don't get me wrong, I like a little smut, but I just can't get into these scenes with high school seniors. At least in the movies the actors are 20 somethings pretending to be 17-18 year olds.
Anywho.. this was ok but not what I expected. The ending felt rushed and epilogue felt like different characters (not just growth wise). I've really enjoyed other books by this author so this is in no way going to prevent me from reading more from her.
