This was just fine. Maybe my expectations were too high.
I expected more brilliance from Marcellus the Octopus and less just.. “I can read. I can move around. I just know things.� He’s not a detective. And why is every other character a caricature of small town gossip and miscommunication? Frustrating, disappointing, over and over with truly very little depth.
I wanted to be enchanted but I’ll admit maybe my expectations were high?
