Warlord (The Outlaw Chronicles, #4)

This is a really strong and solid series so far. A lot of historical fiction series, which follow one main character, quickly become very formulaic in style. This series really doesn't. It's a brand new story and style. The peril of Alan feels real and his personal history is fantastically intriguing.
I enjoyed the way Donald tackled the larger battles in this one. Wasn't completely over the top, and moved at a pace that felt natural and genuine
Great book
