** spoiler alert ** i am speechless. i cannot find the words. i want to annotate this whole book, every sentence, every line deserves to be highlighted so i can look back on so actually why don’t i just reread this. juliette has grown so, so much throughout this book and i feel so proud for her. i thought the set up of warner being hemd hostage was very intelligent and while everybody would’ve loved him joining Omega Point it would have been too soon. i hope it will happen in ‘ignite me� bc i need scenes with warner and juliette and kenji and the rest of the base. i loved that we had more warner scenes in the second half of the book, and he, just like kenji (i’ll get into that immediately), steals the spotlight in every scene he is. i loved loved loved his interactions with juliette, from when they were in Anderson’s house for the first time, to their conversations at Omega, to chapter 62, the fight and even after he says he never wants to see her again he s so so desperate and literally beggs for the girls to help her and calls her ‘love� all over again. bc i dont thing he was actually mad at her. he was embarassed and maybe a but dissapointed and scared that she’d seen him so vulnerable, but he obviously never stopped loving her. their scenes together are amazing beartwrenching wow and yeah aaron’s character developmeng already started and i cant wait for them to fight for the same fight. im still patiently waiting for ‘lift your hips for me, love�. and yes i do love aaron warner with all my heart.
now, the first half of the book was CARRIED by kenji. i love him. he’s adorable and so strong and damn he did put juliette in her place a few times and i think she wouldnt have had all that character development without kenji. it’s beautiful how much they care about eachother and i appreciated juliette actually admiting that multime times. adam was a bore and honestly i couldnt stand it every time he opened his mouth or didnt open his mouth or he was just there standing mentioned by juliette. like he has the personality of a desk lamp, like warner said. i literally wanted to cross his name out of the book with a pen. the dude got on my nerves so much. but back to kenji, he’s a beautiful beautiful human being and i cant wait for bromance moments between him and aaron ( i hope we ll get some sooner or later right) and also more on his backstory, bc like juliette said at one point, he’s probably been through the most out of them. i read this book in like a day and a half i coulnd stop reading i loved everything (except the scenes with juliette and adam like dude piss off no one likes u. also he s so rude to kenji for no reason and so moody). i think chapter 62 (idk if it was actually ch 62, but i mean the one where warner comes to juliette’s room and they talk and ‘i want to be the friend you fall hopelessly in love with� happens and they make out) was so so beautifully written. this review is so chaotic but conclusion: juliette- so badass i want to be ber. kenji- i’d literally naming my kid after him i love him sm. warner (feels so weird to call him aaron)- love of my life.
