it was amazing
bookshelves: memoir, book-club

This was a beautiful memoir weaving the author's experiences biking through his homeland with memories of his past. I loved reading about all the people he met in his travels and the impact they had on him, but even more than that, I appreciated the glimpse into the thoughts of an immigrant confused about his identity and where he belongs.

Barbara I read this before my Vietnam trip and really enjoyed it. Excellent insight into the world of immigrants and the changes that country is undergoing. Let me know what you think of it. -- Barbara

Zoe This was recommended to me recently by someone who had this young man as a student (down in Corvallis). How funny that you've both read this....sounds like another one perhaps for the book club? It's on my to-read list!
