Although I love Jane Austen, this abridged BBC production of Mansfield Park wasn't a favourite of mine. I'm glad that I listened to it, and the voice actors and production were great! However, I still think Emma and Pride and Prejudice are my favourites. That being said, I still have to read Persuasion and Sense and Sensibility.
Like many other reviewers, I feel that Edmund is the least likeable main, male romantic interest. I think the movie adaptation with Frances O'Connor and Jonny Lee Miller is my favourite rendition of this beloved classic. I think I will re-listen and read the longer version of this in the near future to ensure that this shorter telling isn't one of my favourites of Austen's.
