I cannot seem to get into this book. Over time Patricia Cornwell has made all her characters insanely unlikeable and unrelatable. I have read all the books before this and this has to be the worst. She has made Kay Scarpetta into a huge elitist snob that is a doormat to everyone in her life. Even Benton is way more likeable than Kay Scarpetta, which is saying something. In addition, everyone in her life treats her like crap and she just swallows it.

This book is incredibly far fetched in every way. If you can get past the horrible characters Cornwell has created, the story itself is not remotely believable. Do not waste your time.
