A billion stars. Fitz is the greatest character ever put to page in a fantasy series. I love him so so much, and empathize with everything he goes through to the point that this series is actually difficult to read at times for me. I feel like this trilogy not only is a beautiful, raw depiction of what it is to be human, but also how to grow from mistakes and learn to feel and love fully.

Thank you for your review! I’ve read the first trilogy and want to make the Realm of the Elderlings a priority this year. The first trilogy just broke my heart so thoroughly I’ve not been able to pick up the rest of the series yet!
