** spoiler alert **
This is my favorite book of all time because of the Ya-Yas. I didn't appreciate the Vivi-Sidda drama as much, but it definitely did not ruin the book. The Ya-Yas is what matters in this book to me more than anything else. The Ya-Yas are what's important and what's genuine.
I love going back in time to the thirties with the Ya-Yas and tagging along for all of the adventures they have. I love the Shirley Temple look alike contest, and I love when they go into the woods. My favorite part of any book is in this one, when they're pushing their pecan halved candles down the bayou. It puts the prettiest image in my head.
Their loyalty within each other reminds me so much of my friends. I am so grateful to have found this book and I cherish it.
