A 3rd re-read.
A landmark in Science Fiction. A monumental collaboration between two creative giants in their fields - Sir Arthur C. Clarke and Stanley Kubrick. I'm uncertain writing anything meaningful about either as they reside in a similar place in my mind as mythology. And 2001: A Space Odyssey is a creation myth for a new age written at the time of Ray Kurzweil's "knee of the curve", the launchpad of humanity's exponential growth into the next phase of existence. In this case facilitated by an other, but, it was a milestone in technology which triggered the evolution.
