it was amazing

So many emotions. I loved this book and the Tawnyman trilogy as a whole.

Robin Hobb’s finales are always a little off to me and there are some plot threads that I just didn’t care about at this point in the Realm of the Elderlings. I get the impression that this was intended to be the finale to Fitz’s story so I see why we revisited that relationship. But I was rolling my eyes through most of those last pages.

Despite my lack of interest in some elements of the story, I can’t imagine giving this less than five stars. The way it builds on Fitz’s character, his relationships, and the future of the Six Duchies was incredible. Very few books have made me feel as much as this book did.
