Darius (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #0)

I’m a dirty liar. And I’m weak. For the past few years JR Ward’s writing has evolved into something that isn’t to my liking. And for the last several books I tell myself, this is it. This is where I quit.
I really thought Lassiter would be my last. It wrecked me in a bad way. Like filled me with the fires of the 9th circle of hell kind of rage. But since Darius had been released pre-Lassiter I did it. I read it.
And what hurt the most is it wasn’t bad. It was very reminiscent of the writing of the early books, where the romance was the priority. And it made the book extra bittersweet.
